Several of the above are hosted by softlayer.com. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Spamhaus has finally listed numerous Softlayer spam-sending IPs on their black list, including a few Data Champions spam servers.

There’s no shortage of B2B spam out there from the India-based Data Champions and similar scam groups selling email addresses.

This B2B spam is sent from many different email accounts with so many different senders and fake company names. Their numerous B2B spam servers are hosted all around the world, and do move occasionally from one ISP to another.

Bizinfomail.com sounds a lot like b2bbusinessinfo.com, biztechdata.net, and business-mails.info, doesn’t it? Well… They’re all domains in use by the India-based Data Champions spam/scam group.

Some spam signed by an imaginary “Helen Young” (helen.young@bizinfomail.com) was sent from the Data Champions spam server called expurgatemail.com (174.132.220.149). The expurgatemail.com domain name was just registered last month and is hosted at theplanet.com, like many Data Champions domains over time.

Email from “Helen” may be entitled, “Data Appending.” “Helen” has no phone number and no address; she just signs her emails as “Marketing Analyst, Web Marketers.”

* “Eric Anderson” and eanalyticsworld.com

Another shifting identity used by the Data Champions is one called “Eric Anderson.” Spams signed by this fictitious person may appear to be from eric@eanalyticsworld.com or erica@ajaxsourcing.com.

In both cases, email from “Eric Anderson” gets signed “Business Development” (no company name), but there is a phone number this time: 877-544-1419. You may also find 877-544-1419 in other Data Champions spam signatures, signed with addresses such as:

None of these fake people have phone numbers and the globalclients.biz predictably does not have a web site.

Spam signed with a globalclients.biz address are often mailed from the Data Champions spam server hostmailer.biz [174.141.226.106]. Hostmailer.biz has been active and hosted at bodhost.com for quite some time, but still does not appear on most of the black lists that we see.

The list of domains, usually anonymous, that appear in B2B spam sent by the India-based Data Champions and similar scam groups selling email addresses is always growing.

Registered to a party in India, this domain (new this year) sometimes sends spam from an anonymous mail server called internetworldwide.in [209.160.33.22]. A so-called “Debra Smith” from India (debra.smith@b2bbusinessinfo.com) writes in her email entitled “Requesting a 15 Minute Conference Call:”

Hi,
My name is Debra Smith and I am with the online marketing division I came across your company website and found that we have a potential customer list who might be interested in your products or services. We are a list compiler and a dominant player in the Business List Industry with over 22 Million B2B contacts across North America and 10 Million of B2B contacts for Europe, Asia, Middle East and Australia.

Many Data Champions spams include the claim that, “We are dominant player in Business List Industry.”

Debra Smith from India signs her email as “Online Marketing Executive” (no company name) and uses this phone number: 646 462 4181. Debra Smith from India “regret[s] if I have intruded your privacy. We respect your privacy. If you want to stop receiving emails from us, please send a reply with the email subject line as “Leave out”.”

Business-mails.info has no web site and has anonymous domain registration.

B2B spam entitled “Missing contact details” is signed by a so-called Sophia Philips (sophiap@business-mails.info). The spam may be sent from a Data Champions anonymous spam server called ap1host.com [174.141.226.217] and hosted at bodhost.com, like several other Data Champions domains.

Missing information can be anything such as company name, Contact name, Phone number, Fax number, Physical address, SIC code, Employee size, email address and more..

“Sophia Philips” from India has no company name and no telephone number. She simply signs her spam as “Marketing Manager.”

Newgenlists.com is a new anonymous domain registered a couple of weeks ago. It has no web site. Nonetheless, “Lori Brown” from India lbrown@newgenlists.com is sending spam from that domain (a webhostingpad.com server [204.93.163.99]). Subject line: “Decision Makers Industry Professionals.”

Hi,
Would you looking for following Job Title:
· Commercial and Defense Operators
· CEOs and high-level decision-makers
· Government and Industry Program Managers
· Policy Makers
· Scientists, Researchers and Students

If yes, then we have with full details like contact name, business name, job title, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, contact person deliverable email address with verification date and time stamp.

Lori Brown from India signs her spam as a “Marketing Executive” (no company name), and claims that her address is 100 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017 (a virtual office space and mail drop, not a true business office). Her phone number is supposedly 646-915-0575.

Lori from India concludes her spam: “If you’re not interested to further emails, please reply with the subject line as “UNSUBSCRIBE”.”

So many multiple identities from the India-based Data Champions group…

The biztechdata.net spam domain was registered anonymously about a month ago. It has no web site at the time of this writing, but it is being used in B2B spam from the India-based Data Champions group. Some of the spams are signed with a allison@biztechdata.net (“Allison Davis”) address.

Some of this spam is being sent by an anonymous mailing service called emailsrvr.com [67.192.241.141].

Like many Data Champions identities, you may find that “Allison” has no address, possibly no phone number, and no company name. These identifies are often signed as “Business Development Executive” or “Senior Marketing Consultant.”

Sample text from biztechdata.net may look like this:

Hi,

I tried reaching you through phone, but unfortunately could not reach you due to some technical errors in our phone lines.

Would you be interested in using our database which can help in reaching the Electronics Industry Professionals including designers, systems architects and business leaders shaping the future of technology.

Google’s gmail.com has proven to be a useful tool for the India-based Data Champions / Sloan Marketing spam and scam group in sending out their B2B spam.

Google’s mail servers are generally never blacklisted, no matter how much spam they send, and spammers like the Data Champions can easily take advantage of this.

You might receive Data Champions spam from Gmail addresses such as
